in 8th Air Force, 453rd Bomb Group.
35 combat missions over Germany. Then 453rd
BG Associate Public Relations Officer.
1944-1948 Student
1948-1949 Taught Voice and Articulation and Oral Interpretation
of Poetry, University of Southern California.
1950 Taught phonetics, Trinity College of Music and
Drama (a college of Univ. of London).
1951-1954 Taught various speech science and research
courses in the Speech Clinic, Florida State University.
1954-1963 Assistant Professor to Professor of Communication,
The Air University, Maxwell AFB, AL.
1963-1964 Senior Research Scientist, American Institutes
for Research in the Behavioral Sciences.
1964-1971 Director of Development (curriculum and evaluation),
USAF Language School (later renamed Defense Language
Institute English Language Center), Lackland AFB, TX.
1971-1985 Director of Development, Director of Evaluation,
and other executive positions, Defense Language Institute
Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey, CA.
1985-Present Self-employed as Director of TASCommunicating.
Developed and licensed a series of Proficiency Tests
of American English Comprehension (ProTAEC).
