Word Processing

Word Processing is one of the most common applications of the computer. It allows a flow of writing that was extremely difficult to achieve before its advent. Now whole sections of text can be easily copied, cut or pasted. Spelling and even grammar can be checked. This leaves the student free for one of the most important functions: editing.

Practically every common application on the computer can incorporate aspects of word processing. However, for pure input and arranging of text, an application can range from a simple text editor included with the operating system (eg., Windows or Mac) to powerful tools such as Microsoft Word.
